Welcome Dr Annie Chan to Lake Austin Eye!

Dr. Annie Chan is a cornea specialist who came to us from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she was a professor for four years in the Ophthalmology department. She cared for the residents of San Antonio and surrounding South Texas and was also able to teach and train Ophthalmology students and other medical professionals in the art of medicine and eye care. Although Dr Chan is a native of Austin, her educational pursuits took her from the West to East coasts. After completing a rigorous residency program in Ophthalmology at the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, OK in 2012, she found a passion for treating corneal and external diseases and was selected to stay on as a fellow. Dr Chan provides comprehensive eye care with a special interest in Corneal Crosslinking, the latest corneal transplantation techniques such as DMEK and treatment of dry eye disease and other ocular surface diseases. She is also a leading surgeon in laser cataract surgery and offers the most up-to-date intraocular lens choices. She is delighted to be back in her hometown as an eye physician and surgeon!
